Overview of duties

  • Act as PSCS and coordinate with the Client, PSDP and other third parties.
  • Compile HSE documentation, Construction Health & Safety Plans, Method statement/Risk Assessments, TBT’s and communicate to workers.
  • Conduct regular PSCS site audits and carry out inspections to ensure safe operating procedures are adhered to.
  • Carry out thorough accident, incident investigations to identify root cause analysis studies.
  • Assist with completion of tender pre-qualifications.
  • Audit and assess potential new contractors before they commence works. Review sub-contractor safety statements and required Method statement/Risk Assessments.
  • Continue to develop the companies HSE system.
  • Champion Company Behavioural Based Safety Program.
  • Supervise and manage safety and environmental documentation to support the Company’s integrated safety management system.
  • Deliver and complete statutory notifications to the HSA as necessary.
  • Delivering Health & Safety induction programmes for personnel working on site.
  • Prepare and deliver HSE training courses, including training assessments.
  • Representation at site meetings as may be required.
  • Reviewing site HSE paperwork, Permits, SWP’s (Safe Work Plans) etc.
  • Provide HSE advice and direct relevant personnel on site as required.
  • Collect and collate relevant information for inclusion in the Safety File for handover to the Client.

Your education & experience requirements

  • Hold a recognised third level health and safety qualification, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years PSCS electrical and mechanical experience within pharmaceutical, food/beverage, chemical environments.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent literacy, numeric and IT skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital technology (e.g., Viewpoint/ Fieldview).

  • Full, clean driving licence.
