The partnership reflects Designer Group’s commitment to initiatives that promote diversity, inclusion and community engagement through sport.

Supporting Gaelic Games in Austria

Over the past two decades, Vienna Gaels has established itself as one of the leading Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) clubs in mainland Europe. The club offers opportunities for players of all ages and experience levels to participate in Gaelic games, including Ladies Football, Men’s Football, Hurling, Camogie and Handball. Competing regularly in European GAA tournaments, Vienna Gaels travel to cities across the continent while also welcoming visiting clubs to Vienna. Through these activities, the club continues to strengthen connections between communities and promote Gaelic games across Europe.

A diverse and inclusive sporting community

What makes Vienna Gaels unique is its strong sense of community. The club brings people together through Gaelic games, creating an inclusive environment where members build friendships, stay active and feel part of something bigger than the sport itself.

The inclusive culture fostered by Vienna Gaels aligns closely with Designer Group’s values, creating a partnership founded on shared principles of teamwork, respect and community.

Investing in communities through sport

Designer Group is proud to invest to organisations that create positive social impact and strengthen local communities. By supporting Vienna Gaels over the next three years, the company aims to help the club continue providing opportunities for participation, personal development and community engagement through sport.

This partnership reflects Designer Group’s ongoing commitment to investing in the communities where it operates while helping Vienna Gaels continue to grow participation, strengthen community connections and ensure Gaelic games thrive in Vienna for years to come.

Designer Group Appointed to West One Redevelopment in London

Designer Group has been appointed to deliver the mechanical and electrical (M&E) works for the redevelopment of West One in London, a major refurbishment and redevelopment project located above Bond Street Underground Station.

Originally developed in the late 1970s, the existing West One Shopping Centre is undergoing a significant transformation. The project involves the demolition of the upper levels while retaining the lower retail floors and access to Bond Street Underground Station, alongside the construction of new office accommodation, a completely new façade and upgraded public realm.

The scheme will deliver high-quality office space with improved layouts and enhanced retail frontages, creating a modern commercial development in one of London’s busiest locations.

Designer Group’s scope includes the full delivery of M&E services, beginning with critical enabling works to support the demolition phase before progressing through the main construction works.

Delivering in a Live Environment

A key early phase of the project involves extensive survey works and the diversion of existing MEP services serving the occupied retail units. Designer Group has developed a programme of carefully planned night works to maintain uninterrupted operation of the retail spaces while enabling the safe removal of services from the demolition zone. This requires close coordination with the client, stakeholders and specialist contractors, supported by detailed contingency planning to ensure business continuity throughout the transition.

Managing Complex Urban Redevelopment

Situated above a live underground station on one of London’s busiest streets, West One presents a highly complex delivery environment. Designer Group brings extensive experience in delivering building services within constrained, live environments, combining detailed planning, stakeholder collaboration and technical expertise to ensure safe, efficient project delivery from enabling works through to completion.
