The company also produces consumer electronics, notably the Amazon Kindle e-book reader and the Kindle Fire tablet computer. It is also a major provider of cloud computing services. The company chose this prestigious location to house it’s Dublin development centre. Amazon’s Dublin development centre is home to a team of engineers and developers which supports the design and deployment of Amazon Web Services and Amazon websites. Designer Group completed the electrical installation package for Amazon.com. The 69,000 sq ft installation comprises of a high-end bespoke fit-out over three floors. Care was taken with the design and installation to create a mixed themed working environment. The space is enhanced by a centrally located glazed atrium to deliver a lighting system that mixes natural and artificial lighting throughout.
