Project Background The Siouxland Energy Cooperative Cogeneration Plant will generate nominally 14 Megawatts of power with the capability of producing 130,000 lb/hrof steam for a 90 MMGPY corn ethanol plant in Sioux Center, IA. Designer Group Approach Designer Group USA is providing Engineering services to include Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation & Controls Engineering. The Gas Fired Combustion Turbine Generator (CTG) and Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG) duct burner will use natural gas fuel and provide up to 5 Megawatts of power and 89,000 lb/hrof 150 psigsaturated steam for the ethanol process. The balance of power will be exported. Project Time Frame Project is expected to be completed by October 2020.
