Environment & Sustainability

Designer Group’s sustainability strategy is built around three principles People, Performance and Planet reflecting the impact of our activities on stakeholders, the built environment, and the wider world.

Through a data-led approach, we support clients in meeting regulatory and sustainability objectives while delivering measurable outcomes.

Key ESG milestones include:

  • Annual ESG reporting since 2023, including carbon disclosure through CDP and the Construction Industry Federation Carbon Calculator, supported by ESRS-aligned double materiality assessment.
  • Hosted our “No Planet B” Supplier Sustainability Workshop, bringing together valued suppliers to explore innovative practices we can adopt collectively to reduce environmental impact.

These actions demonstrate our commitment to accountable, measurable sustainability performance.

Environmental Performance

Designer Group strengthens its environmental performance through recognised independent assessments and industry-leading carbon measurement tools. Our sustainability progress is benchmarked through platforms including EcoVadis, Greenly, CDP, and the CIF Carbon Calculator, supporting transparent reporting and continuous improvement.

We also utilise One Click LCA and the CIBSE TM65 methodology to measure and manage embodied carbon across projects, enabling more informed decisions and lower-carbon outcomes for our clients.
