A Structured Pathway to Professional Growth

Each programme combines hands-on project experience with structured technical learning. As a graduate, you will be assigned a dedicated mentor who will guide your development, support your learning, and help you reach your full potential.

Over the two-year programme, you will:

  • Work on world-class engineering and construction projects.
  • Gain exposure across core teams and the full construction lifecycle.
  • Build confidence and capability through continuous professional development and regular feedback.

Our goal is to equip you with everything you need to succeed within an international M&E contracting environment.

Programme Structure

The programme offers two specialised pathways:

Engineering Stream

  • BIM Engineer
  • Mechanical Engineer
  • Electrical Engineer

Quantity Surveying Stream

  • Quantity Surveyor

Participants rotate through modular learning blocks and real project environments throughout the two years, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of their discipline and its role in multidisciplinary project delivery.

Internships

Real experience that leads to real opportunities. Designer Group partners with universities and colleges to offer structured in-company internships aligned with course requirements and academic schedules.

Induction

Graduate engineers begin with an office based induction covering engineering processes, company standards, safety practices and meeting key teams.

Project Allocation

Transition into a dedicated on-site project team, taking defined engineering responsibilities and contributing to the full lifecycle delivery of engineering projects.

Pre-Construction

Develop core mechanical and electrical engineering knowledge, supporting design coordination, procurement of large plant and program sequencing.

Construction

Apply technical learning to live projects, gaining site exposure and understanding of systems, standards and installation practices.

Handover

Support testing, commissioning and final documentation, ensuring systems meet specifications and projects transition smoothly to client and operational teams.

Induction

Graduate Quantity Surveyors begin with office induction covering processes, contracts, cost systems, mentorship and chartership roadmap.

Project Allocation

Join a project team supporting commercial management while developing core quantity surveying skills under experienced senior guidance.

Pre-Construction

Preconstruction cost planning, tender analysis, procurement processes, subcontractor packages and understanding project budgets.

Construction

Preparation of variations, client payment claim notices, subcontractor payment claim notices and general quantity surveying duties including financial reporting.

Project Conclusion

Assist with final accounts, contract close-out and commercial reporting while developing core quantity surveying knowledge and understanding of project lifecycle delivery.
