VIE02

VIE02 is a 9.6 MW data centre located in Vienna, strategically positioned between the airport and the city. The campus follows modular principles, enabling scalable and efficient expansion to accommodate future enterprise growth. Its sustainable design allows rapid deployment of additional buildings while maintaining high operational efficiency, energy performance, and reliability. Designer Group’s scope ensured seamless integration with existing infrastructure, supporting the client’s requirements for flexibility, resilience, and operational excellence.

Designer Group delivered the full mechanical and electrical installation, including connection to the existing campus, along with comprehensive testing and commissioning. The project was based on a modular design provided by a Hyperscale client and included the management and installation of Owner-Furnished, Contractor-Installed (OFCI) systems, utilising prefabrication to streamline delivery and ensure quality.

By combining prefabrication, OFCI management, and rigorous testing and commissioning, VIE02 demonstrates a repeatable, future-proof model for hyperscale and large enterprise data centres. The project highlights the potential for rapid, sustainable growth in high-density data centre environments, delivering both efficiency and reliability while supporting long-term scalability.
