AVK Vantage

AVK Vantage is a multi-phase Dublin data centre campus. The first two phases comprise 2no two-story facilities totalling (38,000 m²) and delivering 52 MW of capacity, with space and infrastructure reserved for a future third facility.

Designer Group is delivering the full electrical installation, supporting the campus’s advanced power infrastructure. This includes an on-site 100 MVA multi-fuel generation plant with 11 × 10 MW reciprocating engines and a 10 MW battery energy storage system. The plant primarily uses renewable hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO), supported by high-pressure gas from Gas Networks Ireland. Multiple diverse power feeds, 400 V electrical systems, and N+1 redundancy ensure high reliability and optimal efficiency, capable of supplying 300 W/SF (3.23 kW/m²) for high-density applications.

The campus emphasises sustainability and efficiency, combining renewable energy use, power purchase agreements (PPAs), and hyper-efficient cooling with outside-air economisation and minimal water usage. Designer Group’s installation underpins Vantage’s commitment to low-carbon, energy-efficient operations while delivering world-class uptime. AVK Vantage sets a new benchmark for resilient, sustainable data centres in Ireland, integrating cutting-edge electrical infrastructure with environmentally responsible design.
