Norway Campus

Designer Group successfully delivered multiple phases across two data centre campuses in Norway, marking a significant milestone in its European data centre portfolio. With a combined capacity of 56MW, these state-of-the-art facilities demonstrate Designer Group’s capability to deliver large-scale, high-performance infrastructure. The projects were executed by our specialist European Data Centre team, ensuring consistent, high-quality delivery across all phases through coordinated, multidisciplinary execution.

Sustainability and performance were central to the design and delivery. Powered entirely by 100% renewable energy, the campuses leverage Norway’s natural climate to optimise efficiency, incorporating snowmelt technology and rainwater harvesting to support cooling systems. A Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) of 1.12 was achieved, supported by advanced biofuel solutions for backup generation, aligning with global sustainability standards.

Scope included OFCI equipment design, management, installation and commissioning, alongside full mechanical and electrical installations. Modular design principles and prefabrication were utilised to enhance programme certainty, quality, and safety. Designer Group also delivered Stage 3 design across civil, architectural, and building services, reinforcing its capability to deliver scalable, efficient, and technically complex data centre infrastructure across Europe.
