Designer Group are delighted to announce the launch of a new Management Development Programme, the ‘DG Leadership Academy’. Launching in November 2019, the programme will assist managers with the transition from being a ‘manager’ to a ‘leader’ over a 12-month period.

Twelve of our highest performing candidates have been initially selected by the Leadership team to take part in this new and exciting programme. Recognised for delivering above and beyond all expectations, these candidates have been nominated for their outstanding achievements within Designer Group. As part of our new development initiative, the dedicated programme will help nurture, develop and enhance the candidate’s management skills, giving them the ability to become key difference-makers within our business.

The programme is designed to help develop leadership and communication styles. Focusing on a diverse range of topics, the Leadership Academy will equip candidates with the knowledge, insight, tools to become well-rounded managers. The core skills will include: Introduction to Management, Basic Coaching Skills, Employment Law, Performance Management, Mental Health Awareness, Finance for Non-Financial Leaders, 360˚ Feedback and Presenting with Impact.

Not only will this programme provide personal benefits for the chosen individuals, it will also benefit the organisation as a whole. The management, leadership and communications skills gained within the Leadership Academy will help the candidate’s mentor, organise and coach their teams more efficiently, ensuring our people have the tools to deliver an exceptional service to our clients.
