Since joining Designer Group I have always communicated my desire for career progression and for establishing myself in the business. Nick and the senior team were very welcoming and set out a path of what I could achieve in the business, and through hard work I have been rewarded and feel part of the family here. I started at Designer Group four years ago, joined as an Electrical Project Manager Lead and have been promoted to Senior Project Manager and then to Operations Manager. I’ve been working for DG as an Electrical Site Manager for 4 years and during this time I feel my career has progressed immensely. DG has invested in me as an employee and given me a platform to increase my skill set through many courses enabling me to lead large teams on projects. What I am most impressed with since coming to DG is their policy on mental health and wellbeing. I started my journey with Designer Group in 2013 as an Electrical Apprentice. During my time at DG, I have gained so many new skills and experiences and am currently working as an electrical engineer. This has been made possible by the experiences I have gained working at DG and the courses I have been encouraged and supported to go on. I have had the benefit of working under a range of great managers, all of whom have helped with my development and helped me to get where I am with my career today.
