Our commitment

Designer Group have made an ongoing commitment to contribute to a better world by using sustainable, responsible, and ethical practices. We are extremely passionate about respecting our people, our environment, and our communities. We recognise and champion the growing awareness and demand for responsible business behaviour and this is an essential part of our culture.  

Self-Help Africa

                        Designer Group have launched a partnership with Self Help Africa, a not-for-profit organisation tackling poverty and improving the lives of local communities in Africa.

We have developed a youth training programme to increase access to employment opportunities for young people in Kenya. The programme supports job creation in the Kisumu district where current youth unemployment levels are amongst the highest in the country. 

              We are collaborating with Self Help Africa to employ 200 local youth and at the same time, we are helping a further 30 young people by supporting scholarships and apprenticeship opportunities.

Events & fundraising

Designer Group have supported many amazing charities over the years by cycling ‘The Prudential Ride’ London, braving ‘Tough Mudder’, hiking the ‘Three Peaks’ and Mount Kilimanjaro, running the London Marathon on more than one occasion, completing the 2020 challenge, an Arctic Trek adventure and more recently the 4 Peaks – to name but a few.

 Doing all we can for charity is close to our hearts at Designer Group, and we will continue to support a range of charities including Dreams Come True, Mental Health UK, Suicide or Survive and The Lighthouse Club. In just the last year we’ve raised over £60,000 for charity, and we’re not stopping there.

Giving back day

Giving back to your community is one of the most important things anyone can do for someone else. It has a tremendous positive impact on everyone involved.

If one of our employees wants to mentor a young person, keep an old person company, save our oceans, or clean up our streets we give back an additional days annual leave each year so they can help.
