Giving back to the community is extremely important to us at Designer Group which is why we are delighted to be participating in the Business in the Community ‘World of Work’ initiative, taking place in DEIS schools.

The World of Work programme provides 2^nd year post primary school student with an opportunity to meet employees from a local company in order to learn about the world of work. It facilitates conversations and insights to many different roles in the workplace and inspires and encourages young minds to look towards the future.

We are delighted to work with Blakestown Community School through the ‘World of Work’ initiative. Our HR Administrator Kirsty will be working closely with the school to facilitate the 2^nd year students, giving them an opportunity to learn more about more industry and the career opportunities available to them. There will be numerous sessions of collaboration between Blakestown Community School and Designer Group throughout the year, with a tour of our head office and the Training Academy planned in the coming months. We look forward to working with the staff and students of Blakestown Community School.
