Health, safety and wellbeing will forever be the most critical topic

Designer Group are delighted to announce that our Site Manager, John Blake, was chosen to speak at the Construction Industry Federation (CIF)’s Health & Safety Summit, which took place virtually, on Thursday 26^th November.

The CIF’s Health & Safety Summit is the industry’s foremost annual event to focus on the most critical safety, health and risk issues impacting the construction industry.

John was joined by William Hill from the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity and Ian Lynch of Erith Contractors to discuss mental health and wellbeing. Never has mental health been so prominent in the workplace. The construction industry has been steadily addressing mental health and suicide prevention for the past 5 years. But now, with the ripple-effects of COVID impacting workers, we are coming together as an industry, learning how to better communicate with and support our workforce and put what we have learnt into action.

We stand together in a time like this, please help those around you. The slightest action can make a huge difference.
