Our world-class occupational health, safety and wellbeing programme is led by our Board of Directors and is implemented through senior management. Its success is fostered by a culture that encourages and empowers employees to take charge of safety without fear of reprisal.

An essential part of this effective culture is visible management. That is why all our senior Directors take regular health and safety tours across our sites. Leading by example has always been the foundation upon which Designer Group’s values and behaviours have been built, and these activities encourage communication at all levels of our business, ensuring our workforce is engaged. 

This morning our UK Managing Director, Nick Baish, took a health and safety tour at one of our prestigious projects, One Nine Elms Residential Towers. Led by our Head of HSE, Daniello Aspeling, the pair observed good practice, shared advice and learnings and connected with a host of employees and subcontractors.
