Mental Health Awareness Week 2020 was a chance for us all to focus on mental health. This year’s theme is kindness, with the week running from 18 – 24 May. The focus on kindness is a response to the coronavirus outbreak, which is having a big impact on people’s mental health.

Mark Rowland, chief executive of the Mental Health Foundation, said: “We want to celebrate the thousands of acts of kindness that are so important to our mental health. And we want to start a discussion on the kind of society we want to shape as we emerge from this pandemic.”

Mental health charity Mind is actively encouraging people to Speak Your Mind. At Designer Group we have encouraged our employees to reach out to someone who needs a friend with a positive message and shared our own tips for coping to make sure we don’t have to face this crisis alone.

At Designer Group we’ve been doing just that since the early days. Our ‘Happy Hours’ are aimed at protecting our staff throughout this unprecedented time and a chance for us to share tips and resources with everyone that will help them to cope. From ‘Mindful Walking’ podcasts to social networking apps, yoga relaxation exercises and tips for eating to boost your immune system.

At Designer Group, we are here to support all our staff.
