Tower Hamlets Civic Centre

London

This is both a heritage site, grade II listed, with a simultaneous new-build. All of the important historical aspects of the building have been maintained. This meant demolition of recent extensions, but keeping the façade of the Grocer’s Wing intact. There were also environmental considerations to include charging points for electric cars.

Designer Group will oversaw partial demolition of extensions and the development of a new seven storey block at the rear of the main building. We are responsible for the heating and cooling systems, ventilation, full CAT A/B fit out works, structured cabling, fire alarm, security, fire stopping and car charging points
