Welcome to our new website. We hope you like the fresh new look and improved navigation which provides more dynamic content, an improved careers and recruitment section and the launch of our new blog and news hub. Our new blog will feature industry opinions and insights, as well as keeping you up to date on all things Designer Group. You can also take a look at our updated vision, mission and values.

Over the years, we have seen many young adults join Designer Group, work hard to develop themselves and go on to play an integral part in our success. Some employees are even second-generation working alongside their parents, and this is the greatest endorsement of our company’s culture. Nothing makes us prouder than the commitment our quality employees have shown over the years, and specifically throughout these challenging times. This is why our focus was, and always will be, on their wellbeing and safety.

Despite the challenges of Covid-19 we have continued to grow our business and support our customers. In March 2020, we began work on a data centre project in Norway and our dedicated project team, who remained overseas throughout the 6-month programme successfully delivered this state-of-the-art facility, despite the challenges imposed. Working closely in collaboration with our customer, we achieved a smooth and seamless completion in October 2020.

Currently, we are undertaking installation works at the State Forensic Science Laboratories in Celbridge, County Kildare. Our team had to work remotely for much of the pre-construction period, but instead of this being a set-back, we maximised this opportunity to prepare and plan. We are now onsite with completion in the summer of 2022.

As we look back over the past year, we have also seen major internal success too. We have made a number of internal promotions to our Senior Leadership team, we have welcomed a new intake of Apprentices at our Training Academy, and we were the first company to ever complete a full, remote audit for Engineers Ireland CPD – and achieve a further three-year accreditation. Our Training Director was selected as the Vocational Educational Ambassador for Ireland, and we are delighted with our recent Gold Award from the National Irish Safety Organisation (NISO).

Looking ahead, our substantial order book for 2021 sees many exciting projects get underway. We are growing and we are focused on accelerating the execution of our growth strategy, expanding our international reach and continuing to build our legacy. We are excited about this journey and truly believe the best of Designer Group is yet to come.
